Billie-Jade in the Suburban Goth photoshoot
One of my favourite movies from the 90s, is the teen witch movie, The Craft. The idea of teenagers practicing witchcraft in a suburban context, against the rigidity of a Catholic school upbringing, shows girls with a strong sense of self with the ability to make decisions on their own terms, without a care of the judgement they receive from their peers. Not to mention, the time capsule of where fashion was in 1996.
For a few years I had wanted to pay tribute to this movie with fashion photoshoot, and there was no one more perfect for the role than Billie-Jade Hastings, lead singer of Diamond Noir. Billie-Jade, like me, had a strong affinity with the movie and is a natural born Alternative Goddess who had no problem embodying the character.
Shot in a quiet inner city suburb of Melbourne. The styling was a modern take on 90s Gothic fashion, with pieces from; Alannah Hill, H&M, Material Girl, Mazi and Jeffrey Campbell shoes. I styled each look to represent the five elements; Earth, Air, Fire, Water and Spirit.

Penny Higgs & La-toyah Asha
For the launch of Eon Neavou, a creative production company, I worked with a talented team of Melbourne creatives, to produce two very different fashion photoshoots in one day.
Penny Higgs gallery
The first photoshoot featured model/dancer Penny Higgs (from So You Think You Can Dance) modelling three amazing designer looks styled by Rebecca Kennedy (Style Guru). Shoutout to Christopher & Alexander’s Lighting in St Kilda for the amazing location.

La-toya Asha gallery
Inspired by the last days of disco at Studio 54, La-toyah Asha modelled three unique looks, styled by Rebecca Kennedy (Style Guru) and hair/make-up by Nicole Webb (and further hair styling by Tammy Tim Tam). Shot on location at Room 680.

Jessica wears L.A.M.B by Gwen Stefani
The concept for this photoshoot had been on my mind for sometime, in anticipation of the perfect Spring day. The theme was inspired by the nonchalance of Picnic at Hanging Rock, distinctly Australian, with a modern take on Victorian-era fashion.
The hauntingly beautiful model Jessica ann Cogan brought the shoot to life. Shot on location at Melbourne’s Royal Botanical Gardens during the Spring bloom, the Victorian-era public park provided the perfect backdrop with it’s mix of English flora and Australian gum trees.
I also assumed the role of stylist, sourcing designer pieces with Victorian frills, pussy bows and embroidery, including; L.A.M.B, Fleur Wood, Alannah Hill and vintage shoes.
Check out the photoshoot in my Portfolio and Flickr.
Model: Xander Pratt
Once again, I collaborated with model/dancer Xander Pratt
for a provoking Steampunk editorial fashion shoot in Melbourne. Styling was provided by the talented Rebecca Kennedy – Style Guru
. My aim was to utilise Melbourne’s Victorian architecture and Xander’s penchant for defying gravity, to create a unique, surreal world.

On my recent US trip, I collaborated with free-spirited Los Angeles-based actress/model Ashley McCarthy on a fashion photoshoot. With no plans, we scoped out cool scenes around Venice Beach, California, resulting in a very SoCal editorial. Check out the photos from our guerilla photoshoot!
Model: Stefany, MUA: Rachelle Games, Photo: Naomi Rahim
In collaboration with Brazilian-model, Stefany, and LA-based Makeup Artist, Rachelle Games, we created this Lana Del Rey-inspired editorial shoot in Downtown Los Angeles.
Across two locations in the Historic Core of LA (you may recognise the location from 500 Days of Summer), we brought to life a vibe of casual glamour. The wardrobe was styled by myself, using a mix of 60s-inspired fashion and retro hair and make-up by Rachelle. Doesn’t Stefany look like a Hollywood bombshell?

Whilst traveling through the US on a Contiki tour, I met Brazillian model/dancer Stefany and we immediately started planning location shoots on our travels.
This shoot was a particularly fun & crazy one, we had about an hour on The Strip in Las Vegas to do some damage with some gold hot pants. Check out the full photoshoot on my Flickr page.
A collaboration between talented Melbourne stylist, Joolz Makim and I resulted in a unique take on Australian Summer fashion. View the full editorial below.
Xander Pratt and I transcending time and space
I recently collaborated with Xander Pratt of WTF Bass, multi-talented dancer, rapper & model on this photoshoot. Located in a derelict factory, we spent a few hours jumping out of windows, walls and what must have been a chimney, to bring you these pimpin’ photos.
