Beautiful mural in the Star Lyric Theatre

Rone – Empty Exhibition

Rone, one of Melbourne’s most prominent street artists held his first solo exhibition in two years at the historic Star Lyric Theatre in Collingwood, Oct 14-23rd, 2016.

Known for his mural portraits of striking female faces adorning large scale buildings or in decaying spaces, the term ‘hauntingly beautiful’, whilst overused, perfectly sums up Rone’s work.

Never was an exhibition space more fitting than the Art Nouveau building, Star Lyric Theatre which is due for demolition soon after the exhibition closes. A fitting tribute to a beautiful derelict building.
