Boral required a range of bespoke corporate awards, with strong emphasis on branding and LEAN principles. I worked with a boutique glass etching company whom was open to experiment to achieve our vision.

Sales & Marketing Excellence Award
This was the most challenging of the awards. The stacked cubes is a visual metaphor of Boral’s “building something great” tagline. Etchcraft pushed the limits to develop customized green and yellow crystal blocks to match Boral’s corporate colours.

Length of Service Award
These awards are presented to recognise employee’s longevity milestones. The simple and elegant custom-designed cube symbolises evokes Boral’s square logo. Blasted diagonal lines and wordmark play with light and reflections within the block – the result was a unique take on the company’s brand.

Boral Design Awards
This collection of crystal trophies was for the Annual architecture design competition, presented by Jamie Durie and architectural writer Matt Ward. The minimalist design, self-supporting structure and simple colour palette reflect the perfection the architects strive for and Boral’s LEAN principles.
