Model: Stefany, MUA: Rachelle Games, Photo: Naomi Rahim
In collaboration with Brazilian-model, Stefany, and LA-based Makeup Artist, Rachelle Games, we created this Lana Del Rey-inspired editorial shoot in Downtown Los Angeles.
Across two locations in the Historic Core of LA (you may recognise the location from 500 Days of Summer), we brought to life a vibe of casual glamour. The wardrobe was styled by myself, using a mix of 60s-inspired fashion and retro hair and make-up by Rachelle. Doesn’t Stefany look like a Hollywood bombshell?

Whilst traveling through the US on a Contiki tour, I met Brazillian model/dancer Stefany and we immediately started planning location shoots on our travels.
This shoot was a particularly fun & crazy one, we had about an hour on The Strip in Las Vegas to do some damage with some gold hot pants. Check out the full photoshoot on my Flickr page.

On Friday night, I lived perhaps every 20-something year old’s teenage dream – I photographed Hanson at The Palace, Melbourne. After seven years, the Hanson brothers returned to play a string of sold out shows across Australia, reminiscent of when they packed out shopping centres in the late 90s. Taylor, Isaac and Zac have grown up smoothly with their audience, yet fully embracing their boy band origins, their setlist included hits MMMbop
and This Time Around
. The nineties revival is sure to continue.

MSFW 2012 finale
That’s a wrap! Melbourne Spring Fashion Week 2012 came to a close with the always fun Designer Series Boutique runway. The typically fun and cutting-edge showcase, featured designers Alice McCall, Alpha60, bul, Dress Up, Gorman, Kuwaii, Megan Park, Obus and We Are Handsome. I had the pleasure of shooting the runway for Style Melbourne.

Detail category, Runner Up – Open House Melbourne
Once a year, Open House Melbourne unlocks the doors to give the public the opportunity to explore may of the city’s significant buildings. I love documenting urban life, Melbourne’s history and culture and coupled with OHM’s photography competition, it’s a not to be missed weekend on my calendar.
One of my photos of Melbourne General Cemetery has been selected for the Open House Melbourne 2012 Photo Exhibition. The exhibition will be held at Michael’s Photographic Gallery, Cnr Lonsdale & Elizabeth Streets, Melbourne from Oct 26th, 2012.

My last trip to the USA proved to be a gastronomical discovery of sorts, a new world where chocolate meets peanut butter and the confectionery from movies is real. Here are some quintessential American candies that you must try in America (or find in an import store).
To celebrate Bastille Day, I’ve put together a mini travel guide of my favourite things to see & do in Paris. While I’m sure the Eiffel Tour, The Louvre and Notre Dame are at the top of your lists… here are some quirky art, food and shopping ideas to get you off the beaten track in the City of Lights (includes Google map).
Matt Corby played his third and final sold out Winter Tour on June 6th. A beautiful set that had Melbourne’s The Forum Theatre in awe. Supported by local band Alpine and newcomer Hayden Calnin.

Florence Welch onstage at Rod Laver Arena
I first photographed Florence + The Machine during her 2010 Australian tour as an emerging artist in 2010. In 2012, she returned a supernova. Selling out her Rod Laver Arena show in Melbourne, I photographed the show for Life Music Media.
